HPE Aruba Networking 7000 Series Mobility Controllers enhance WLAN performance by centralizing all control functionality for individual access points (APs) to improve AP utilization, security, and client roaming. Designed to support the needs of small to mid-sized campuses and delivering seamless L2/L3 roaming for thousands of users or client devices, the 7000 series can act as a controller or gateway to deliver WAN intelligence, policy-based routing, and enhanced security. The 7000 series supports multiple WAN connections, up to 64 access points and 8 Gbps of throughput, and can be deployed using Zero Touch Provisioning to simplify deployment. The 7000 series also supports Aruba's Next-Generation Mobility Firewall with AppRF™ technology, which continuously evaluates app usage and performance and makes configuration changes in real-time to ensure optimal bandwidth, priority and network paths in branch offices. This ensures the best possible app experience in the branch, even for apps that are hidden as encrypted or web traffic. And IT gets unprecedented insight into over 1,500 apps, including cloud and web-based apps like Lync, SharePoint, Box, GoToMeeting and Salesforce.com. A real-time dashboard makes it easy to identify and correct quality-of-service tags, load-balance specific apps across APs, adjust RF management and roaming parameters for latency-sensitive apps, and apply bandwidth contracts per app or for a group of apps.
