Overview :

The DX510 5-Bay Expansion Unit from Synology delivers an effortless solution for volume expansion and data backup for select Synology DiskStations. Compatible with DiskStation DS710+ and DS1010+, the DX510 5-Bay Expansion Unit smoothly scales the storage capacity by an additional five hard drives and connects via eSATA port. It also supports hot-swappable HDD so there's no need to shut the system to switch hard drives.

The DX510 5-Bay Expansion Unit is connected to the DiskStation using an eSATA cable with custom-designed connectors on both ends This ensures a reliable connection and maximum throughput. The eSATA 3.0 Gb/s definition allows the hard drives in the connected DX510 5-Bay Expansion Unit to operate on the same level as the ones installed in the DiskStation.
