What is a CAT 6 Horizontal cable? Think of it as a subway going 100 mph, connecting your town to all other towns in the area. Actually, it's an optimal performance cable used on a Local Area Network (LAN) and it internally connects the network outlet to the patch panel. This cable exceeds the latest release of the CAT 6 draft, and it is ideal for networks of Gigabit Ethernet or above. This cable consists of 8 solid 24 AWG wires and a separator to separate 4 pairs.

Belkin's CAT 6 PVC Solid UTP Bulk Cable is used to connect a network outlet with a patch panel, or to terminate your own patch cords. This cable consists of 8 stranded 24 AWG wires, and is suitable for 10/100/1000BASE-T networks, and 10GBASE-T networks (up to 50 meters).
