The NVIDIA MFA1A00-C010 AOC Cable is designed for high-performance data center applications, supporting 100GbE Ethernet systems. This 10-meter active optical cable features QSFP28 connectors and utilizes VCSEL-based (Vertical Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser) technology. It offers high port density, configurability, and a much longer reach compared to passive copper cables. The cable is hot-pluggable, ensuring easy installation and replacement.The MFA1A00-C010 adheres to the SFF-8665 standard, with four multi-mode fibers (MMF) optic transceivers per end, each operating at data rates of up to 25Gb/s. It supports selectable retiming per lane for both optical transmitters and receivers, enabling optimal performance at 25Gb/s rates and lower bit rates without retiming. The cable's transmitters have programmable input equalizers and input squelch functions, while the receivers feature programmable output amplitude and pre-emphasis.This active-fiber cable solution is power-efficient, providing enhanced connectivity for data center interconnects. It ensures higher port bandwidth, density, and configurability at a lower cost and reduced power requirement.
