The APC AP8870 Metered Rack PDU is a high-performance power distribution unit designed for data centers and IT environments requiring real-time power monitoring. With active metering capabilities, it enables energy optimization and circuit protection, reducing the risk of overloads through user-defined alarm thresholds. The unit supports power utilization tracking, helping IT managers balance loads effectively and optimize resource allocation.

Equipped with (16) NEMA 5-20R, (12) IEC C13, and (2) IEC C19 outlets, this ZeroU PDU maximizes rack space while offering flexible power distribution. It features a locking IEC receptacle design to prevent accidental disconnections and a built-in temperature/humidity sensor port for environmental monitoring. The AP8870 integrates seamlessly with APC’s centralized management platforms, including InfraStruxure for remote monitoring and control via Web, SNMP, or Telnet.
