Overview :

The Juniper SCBE2-MX-BB Switch Fabric Module is designed for carrier Ethernet routers, offering superior traffic handling and scalability. Compatible with MX960, MX480, and MX240 routers, it delivers up to 340 Gbps per slot with redundancy and 480 Gbps without redundancy, ensuring high-capacity data transmission.

This module enhances fabric performance with its next-generation XF2 fabric chip, providing centralized clocking architecture for clock cleanup and distribution. Its Stratum 3 clock module ensures clock monitoring, filtering, and holdover at a centralized chassis location.

With two 10-Gigabit Ethernet SFP+ ports, the SCBE2 supports external router reflector connections and clock cross-coupling for enhanced synchronization. It is optimized for MPC line cards and ensures full performance even with fabric redundancy, making it ideal for high-bandwidth applications.
