Overview :

If you suffer from low or no Wi-Fi signal in your backyard or garage, extend it with the RBS50Y AC3000 Orbi Outdoor Tri-Band Wi-Fi Range Extender for Orbi/Orbi Pro Routers from Netgear. This Wi-Fi extender is specifically designed for outdoor use. An IP56 weather-resistant rating means that it can handle rain, snow, sun, and dust. When placed outside, the Orbi Wi-Fi extender takes your home Wi-Fi and expands it up to an additional 2500 square feet. The Orbi extender provides this additional coverage with six built-in high-performance antennas and powered amplifiers. This is joined by tri-band Wi-Fi, beamforming, MU-MIMO, and a 4x4 (1.7 Gb/s) backhaul, which helps boost speeds by providing simultaneous dedicated network streams to multiple mobile devices. The Orbi extender's tri-band is split between a 2.4 GHz 400 Mb/s and 5 GHz 866 Mb/s signals for internet access to devices, and a 5 GHz 1733 Mb/s signal to transfer data between the satellite extender and router. Please note that while this will work with Orbi Wi-Fi 6 routers, the RBS50Y will not be able to take advantage of the full bandwidth capabilities of Wi-Fi 6.
